Queer Music Heritage for April – Lesbian/Feminist Bands of the 1970’s

This show is a trip back to the 1970’s, when Women’s Music was just beginning, and the bands were feeling their ways musically and politically, some with lesbian and straight members, and some with members not ready to identify as lesbian. This was a political rebellion, set to music. And I have interviews with members of the Chicago & New Haven Women’s Liberation Rock Bands, the New Harmony Sisterhood Band, and the Berkeley Women’s Music Collective, spread over four hours of music.
